What is a sober living home?A sober living home (SLH) is a supportive, substance-free residence for individuals recovering from addiction, serving as a bridge between rehab and independent living. These homes enforce sobriety through rules like drug testing, curfews, and mandatory meetings while fostering peer accountability. Unlike rehab, they don’t provide medical treatment but help residents transition back into daily life with structure and community support. Ideal for those leaving treatment or needing a stable environment to maintain recovery, sober living promotes long-term sobriety through responsibility and gradual reintegration.
